November Meeting

Hello everyone and Happy  New Year!

Here are the (very late) meeting minutes from our Nov 21 meeting.

Call the meeting to order and go over minutes from last month.

David- we need to move our trailer inside for the christmas lights (we did)

Emily- Our gross profit for our Oct race was $21,287. Our payout was $10,389. We had a net profit of $8710. Our current account balance is $28316.

Janis- She won't be at the Dec race so we need to fill in for her (we did)

Niki- She has been working on points. Also, we want to clear up the misinformation with the WPRA not being able to cosanction with our club. They no longer cosanction with groups who "charge a non member fee at their races". Because we do not charge a $10 office fee to our members we fall into that category. C'est la vie

Sponsorship Committee - We have $15650 in so far. We have 51 banner sponsors, 4 full saddle sponsors and 2 half saddle sponsors!

Awards committee- They are looking out for black friday deals (they got some)

Tammy- Worker Bee roundup went well

New Business:

Krystle is going to get us an American flag for the national anthem (she did)

David is going to get us some chairs for the 1st and 2nd barrels (he did)

December race is ugly sweater race (It went well)

Karen did a canned food drive at the Dec race as well

Christmas party is Dec 8 with a $20 white elephant gift exchange (it was great)

Should we do a side-pot at our January race with the proceeds going to Scooter? Heck yes we will! There will be $1200 added to the side pot! $30 entry fee and 4D format. You can roll into the pot from any class.

We had to update the entry guide for the Dec race. It was on a Sunday, but all the start times stayed the same.

The Feb race will start at 10am and have less time for time onlys.

The march race will start at 9, there will be no pee wee class. Time onlys will be from 7 to 8, open arena from 8 to 8:15.

Ride nights have continued to be incredibly slow so we will discuss that more at our Jan meeting.

We should print out a list of current club members and nominations to have at the front desk because not everyone remembers what they have signed up for. (we did and it was very helpful)

We need to make sure the area around the entry gate stays clear during the race. We will announce this more during the race and hang up signs.
